1979 Avion Travel Trailer- $8K
Lawrence KS 785-380-8202

1979 Avion Travel Trailer- 26’ Bumper pull. Ready to tow and ready to use.  Clean Kansas title in my name, and currently registered. Great floorplan with rear bedroom and center bath- very spacious inside with lots of features.  Currently located in Lawrence KS.  Asking $8K and not in a rush to sell.  Will not respond to low offers and not interested in trades.  Selling it because it’s a little large for my current vehicle to tow with.  It is 26’ long and likely weighs around 5000LBs.  Has 4 brand new tires.  I’ve tried to include all the details I can below- it’s a lot of info, so please look over before shooting any questions.  If you’d like to discuss more please let me know and we can arrange to jump on a call.  Overall this is a great trailer, but it is almost 50 years old and there are some things that I’ve noted below under “considerations” to point out some of the things that haven’t been tested or may still need attention.

Interior Features:

-Queen bed (short Queen) with RV mattress and additional topper.

-Sofa bed in front that folds out and is approximately 55” long.

-12,000 BTU floor standing air conditioner that runs off 110V and has exhaust discretely plumbed out side of trailer.

-Mini Fridge- runs off 110V.

-2 TVs w/ remotes and TV antenna mounted on roof.

-Clean and cozy with lots or room to personalize.

-Lots of storage under rear queen bed- has a spring hinged bracket for raising bed to access.

Body:

-No known roof leaks

-Anodized aluminum exterior

-Body is in good shape but does have a few areas of slight damage where it looks like it scraped something on one side.

-Has two working ceiling mounted exhaust fans that run off 12V DC and have retractable covers.

-The rear storage hatch door handle is broken and it does not currently open.

-Floor- The wood style planks were installed when I bought the trailer and I have left them as they were.  The floor feels solid all the way through when walking around.

Electrical:

-Has interior 110V AC circuit with breaker box and interior outlets- can be plugged into shore power 110V AC or a generator (not included).

-Has interior 12V DC fused circuit that can power lights and other 12V devices when plugged into shore power or by running off included battery/solar system.

-Includes 1 recently purchased 100AH 12V Lithium Iron Phosphate rechargeable battery that is recharged by roof mounted solar panels through solar controller. Additional batteries could also be added.

-Approx 200W of solar panels mounted on roof and wired to charge interior batteries.

Towing:

-Brand new tires (4)

-Trailer lights all operate, including upper running lights on front and rear

-Working trailer brakes

2 5/16” Ball & 7 pin wiring plug

-Has working electric jack and dedicated battery.

-There are 4 retractable stabilizers that have recently been greased- 2 on each side of the trailer underneath.

Considerations:

-Plumbing- I have not used the integrated plumbing system but there is a working water pump and plumbing lines- newer hot and cold pex lines run.  I did test one faucet and it worked.  There is no toilet currently installed but there is a place where one could be installed.  Our family usually camps or travels where there are accessible restrooms and showers, so we didn’t need or want to use the plumbing in the trailer.  There would be some work needed to fully use the interior plumbing, but not much.

-Heat & Air- There is one floor standing AC unit in the front area of the trailer.  It does cool well, but is not powerful enough to overcome extreme heat. For heat- I have not used or tried to use the built in propane furnace, but it likely could be used with a little effort. We generally don’t camp in the winter, and often use portable indoor heaters when we rarely need them.

-Propane- I haven’t ever used the propane system including the stove or heater.  The lines are all there, I just didn’t have a need to use them.

Trailer Also Comes With:

-2 RV Propane tanks for future use

-Cooler that is powered off 12V DC or 110AC and is perfect for running indefinitely off the solar and battery.

-Most everything shown in photos is available with the purchase, if desired.
